Lisa has experience in all facets of the optical industry, that spans nearly four decades: from working in a lab where she learned first-hand how the quality of lenses led to better products and clearer vision, to becoming a Certified Optician through the American Board of Opticianry, to utilizing her natural talent for helping customers select the perfect frames.

After spending some time in outside sales to further enhance her industry skill set, Lisa landed in Madison, first at Eye Contact then the UW Eye Clinics. True to her entrepreneurial nature, she knew the best way to deliver a higher level of service would be through her own business. She founded Bilancio Eyewear in 2007, and its innovative model has solidified Lisa’s position as one of Madison’s most trusted local eyewear professionals.

With 25 years of experience as a Primary Care Optometrist, Dr. Lance Engdahl leads the visual and medical aspects of Bilancio Eyewear’s vision care services including fitting contact lenses, binocular vision and treatment of dry eye. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. Engdahl lives in Madison with his wife, two children and family dogs. He enjoys being outdoors, playing hockey, golfing, walking and home improvement projects. In his free time, he coaches youth hockey and enjoys all things food & cooking.
